Founded in 1928 by Reginald Dougherty in Detroit, Michigan, it is now run by his grandsons, Rick and Bill Dougherty Jr., and his great-grandson, Chris.

This commitment to quality earned us a unique honor in 1989, when we were commissioned to work on the private tennis courts at The White House during the administration of President George H.W. Bush.
